NAPALM DEATH Bassist Issues Post-South American Tour Update

November 22, 2005

NAPALM DEATH bassist Shane Embury has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"[I've] been back back here in the U.K. for a week now. I think we have finally climatised ourselves to the English weather — definitely different to the humid temperatures of Venezuela, that's for sure!

"The South American tour was definitely interesting. There were a few ups and downs, a couple of cancelled shows, but the shows we did play were great and enthusiastic. My personal favourite was definatly Lima in Peru — a great reaction, just a shame we couldnt stay there for long!

"So just anyways here taking things easy and getting ready for the Persistance tour with HATEBREED and AGNOSTIC FRONT. This should be a lot of fun.

"Oh, and one final thing to add before I shoot off for now. As some of you may be aware, me and Danny [Herrera, drums] from NAPALM will be playing our respective instruments for local birmingham black metallers ANAAL NATHRAKH on December 15th and 16th. The first show at the Undeworld in London for the Terrorizer X-mas festival and the second show will be at Edwards No. 8 in Birmingham. Hope to some of you guys there."

NAPALM DEATH are continuing to tour in support of their latest CD, "The Code is Red...Long Live the Code", which came out in April via Century Media Records. The album was recorded at Foel Studios with producer Russ Russell and features guest appearances by Jello Biafra (ex-DEAD KENNEDYS),Jamey Jasta (HATEBREED) and Jeff Walker (ex-CARCASS).
